The cardigan is knitted from top to bottom, back and forth on circular needles, with short rows in the neck. The buttonholes are knitted at the same time as the cardigan in garter st. After the neckline you knit structure based on garter- and stockinette st and you increase in the round. This is a nice cardigan with a spacious fit that fits well for both babies and toddlers.
