The hat is knitted around in structure with earflaps and an edge in rib. You start by knitting the i-cord strings and increase to earflaps, so you don’t need to assemble in the end. The pattern has an alternative where you can knit the hat without the strings and ear flaps, from 1 year and up. This is a fantastic hat that fits well over the ears.
