The bloomers are knitted around in stockinette stitch, from top to bottom with stripes. You start knitting the waistband, then higher at the back. Then knit around until the front and back pieces are to be finished separately. You decrease stitches in each side of the front and back piece to make leg openings. The remaining stitches are sewn together at the end. Finally, stitches are picked up around the leg openings to knit leg edges.
