The overalls are worked from top to bottom. The upper part is in rib while the torso and legs are worked in structure. You start by knitting the front piece, braces, and back piece back and forth separately, while at the same time increase stitches on each side. Then work the front and back piece together and continue around in structure. Work short rows at the back for a good fit. The structure is elastic so that the overalls can be used for a long time and grow with the child. This is a nice overall that stays in place during active play.
