You start with a waist edge which is folded down and an i-cord can be placed in for tightening. Afterwards you knit German Short Rows in the back. The shorts have cool and practical pockets on each side, which you create by increasing stitches while knitting in stockinette stitch. These are great shorts that are fun to knit.
