Lun balaclava

This is a cute and comfortable balaclava for babies and small children. It is knitted top down in stockinette stitch. It is used an invisible cast on for making a beautiful garment and at the end you make two pompoms and sew them onto the corners. You start by knitting a part that will be at the top of the head, then cast off stitches and then knit back and forth with decreases and increases to create an opening for the face and shape the balaclava tightly around the head. After the neck you continue to knit a front piece and a back piece. Finally, cast off in i-cord, making a neat edge around both the opening for the face and around the opening at the bottom. This balaclava is flexible in size. Choose the size that is closest to the child.

Fits head circumference: 34-37 (37-39) 40-43 // (44-48) 49-53 cm
Gauge: 22 sts per 10 cm
