The body is knitted from top to bottom in rib knitting. After the neckline you knit short rows in the neck and raglan inc. After the yoke knit the torso and then divide it into front and back piece to make the leg openings. These are knitted back and forth separately. Stitches are picked up around the leg openings to finally knit an edge. Use Italian cast on and cast off so that it does not get to tight and to get a nice result. This is a perfect basic garment for the wardrobe that the child can use for a long time because rib knitting is so elastic.
